Russia: Blessings in Autumn

Weather and routes in Siberia are a challenge in every season. But recently, the taiga showed itself from its most beautiful side. Lake Baikal, with its deep blue water, made a lasting impression on our tour group. They realized that God, the Creator, paints the most beautiful pictures, writes the best stories—and His blessing is the most precious thing this world has to offer.

With these impressions, they arrived in Angarsk and immediately began preparations for the mission conference. Not only guests from Europe, but also many Christians from all corners of the world came together. The occasion was the 30th anniversary of the Nehemiah Church Federation. The churches range from Vladivostok and Chukotka to Kaliningrad – there are 75 churches in the Irkutsk region alone.

There was great joy over this progress. Our co-worker reports that he hardly found time to eat during the conference: in addition to the worship services, he had numerous conversations with pastors, prayed with them, encouraged them, and empathized with them as they shared about the challenges they face in their ministry.

And just as God had blessed him with the beauty of nature on his journey there, he passed on this blessing. For the goal is not to praise creation, but the Creator. We are grateful to God for the work in Siberia and for the blessing that is visible to everyone in this region.
