Faith in action

Nikita was a drug addict for years until Jesus set him free. He found healing in our rehab centre in Novosibirsk. Valya had a promising career as a conductor in St Petersburg ahead of her. Instead, she decided to live with Jesus. She does not regret this decision, because she has found something much more valuable than the applause of the people.

Nikita, Valya and many other young people are students at our Bible school in Krasnoyarsk. The current course has been running since the end of January. The teachers now have six months to invest in the students. The theory taught is followed by practice so that the students can directly apply what they have learnt.

Their new project is very practical: the students recently organised an evangelistic concert in a café in the Solnechno district in collaboration with local churches. In order to reach as many people as possible, they extended a friendly invitation to passers-by on the street in advance.

The response was so positive that permanent premises have since been rented. What began as a one-off event has developed into a permanent commitment that takes place every weekend. Our students meet people with love and share their own, often very touching life stories.
