Faith Over the Radio Waves

Seven stations, each with a range of 70 kilometers, provide coverage throughout Togo and neighboring regions in Ghana and Benin. A Christian from the border region reports: “Islamic organizations offer us meat and drinking water if we convert to Islam. But through the radio broadcasts, we have found the strength to remain faithful to our faith.”

Muslims are also listening. A young man from central Togo says: “It is very dangerous for me to attend church. I would like to do so because the teachings of the Bible touch my heart. That is why I listen to the radio program. Once when I was sick, the speaker prayed for healing. Shortly thereafter, I was healthy.”
