A New Start in Athens
An Iranian friend regularly visits our center and trains interested refugees in microblading, a permanent makeup technique. The difference between microblading and the traditional method is that microblading does not use any machines. The color pigments are applied to the skin manually using very fine blades.
At the end of the course, we organize a special celebration: participants receive their certificate and a starter kit containing the basic equipment. Our goal is for them to be able to set up a small business and thus earn at least part of their livelihood. But even after the course is over, the trainer continues to provide them with advice and support.
Zahra* is one of the graduates. A few weeks after the course, she contacted our manager to thank her warmly. She has already gained her first clients and now has the opportunity to provide for herself and her two children, whom she is raising alone.
