Zacchaeus, come down!
HAITI
This week, our partner in Haiti is holding a large-scale evangelistic campaign. Pastor Milien and his congregation have prepared intensively for this through prayer and hope that many people will find new hope through the message of Jesus.
The call from Luke 19 is the theme of the evangelistic event in Léogâne, about 30 kilometers from Port-au-Prince (photo). Severe gang crime, violence, and political instability have brought Haiti's once-thriving tourism industry to a near standstill. Chaos reigns in many places.
The story of Zacchaeus speaks directly to this situation. His life was marked by injustice, exclusion, and abuse of power—until his encounter with Jesus changed everything. Pastor Milien and his team are convinced that such a transformation is still possible today—both for people suffering from violence and for those who are themselves part of a gang. With this hope, they proclaim the Gospel and ask for our support in prayer.
We pray ...
that the events may take place without incident;
that people may accept the message and turn away from the occult;
that many may come to faith, experience healing, and take a new direction in life.
