More Brutal Than Ever
The uprisings are being crushed by indiscriminate shooting into the crowd. The country has suffered tens of thousands of deaths and arrests. The latter are so numerous that the regime is now executing prisoners because there is no more room in the prisons.
Christians are also affected. The current purges are a good opportunity to get rid of the Christians in the country. We are in direct contact with Christian families who are suffering severe misfortunes. One of these families loses three young cousins during the violent intervention of the Revolutionary Guards. A man whose sister fled to Turkey and is in contact with us there is imprisoned. He is accused of filming the demonstration and distributing the film. His business is burned down.
Three devout siblings from our network in Iran are arrested. One of the sisters is raped, hospitalized with abdominal bleeding, and immediately re-imprisoned. Rape of young women in prisons is currently a deliberate means of instilling fear and terror in women and deterring them from taking to the streets in the future. We are currently trying to get the two women out of prison. There is no trace of their brother.
Mohsen, a 42-year-old Iranian Christian, took to the streets with friends. When one of his companions was shot, he tried to save him. In the process, he was shot in the leg. Another friend took him to the hospital, but the Revolutionary Guard refused to admit him. The man bled to death in his friend's car.
Amir, 21, was shot in the head in the north of the country. After three days, the Revolutionary Guard handed his body over to his family and said he could not be buried. They buried him at night without a funeral. But we believe that the young Christian is warmly welcomed in heaven.
The days of this regime are numbered. Groups are organizing everywhere and weapons are coming into the country. If the mullahs do not leave Iran soon, it could become extremely bloody. The system will collapse. The demand for Bibles is great, and those who want to hear the words of truth are more numerous than ever. We expect that with the fall of the regime, a door will open for the gospel.
