It's Not the Numbers That Count
During our visit, our Romanian partner Daniel shares about his work. After morning prayer, he stands up, takes a deep breath, and says:
“Dear brothers and sisters, I have something to confess to you.” The room falls silent. “You often hear about many baptisms—50 or even 500. I can tell you about five baptisms.”
What at first sounds like an admission of failure reveals something else: it is not about numbers, but about faithfulness to the mission. This is precisely where the tension that shapes the ministry on the ground becomes evident. The sick are healed, addicts experience freedom—and yet not every prayer is answered; growth often happens in small steps.
And yet the certainty remains: God is at work. This reality challenges and strengthens our faith. It calls us to prayer and invites us to trust in God anew.
