Faith Under Extreme Conditions

We are receiving the latest reports from Cairo, Egypt, from Sudanese refugees whom we are assisting there. They report that government forces have further pushed back the rebels. As a result, the country appears to be increasingly divided: conditions remain dangerous along the front lines, while the capital is comparatively calm.

Some refugees, including spiritual leaders, have already returned to their home regions, while others are planning to do so. Yet as Christians in a predominantly Muslim environment, they remain vulnerable. And no one knows exactly how stable the situation really is.

The mountainous region where ACP is active also lies in the crossfire between the fronts—just recently, there was unrest and fires in the regional capital. Despite all this, among those returning are evangelists who are ready to courageously continue their work—a sign that no war and no borders can stop the message of God's love.
