Mali

The situation in Mali is unstable. Armed conflicts rage in the north, while the south struggles with refugee flows, rapid population growth, and a lack of infrastructure. Many people have no reliable access to electricity or sanitation facilities, and the majority cannot read or write. Many survive by begging or collecting rubbish and are victims of exploitation and abuse. Children are often abandoned because of a lack of food.

CHRISTIAN AS A DEATH SENTENCE
Mali has been ravaged by jihadist violence for more than a decade. The Christians in northern Mali already fled at the beginning. Today, Christians in the center of the country are also victims of forced conversion, dispossession and murder. With our local organization, we are active in supporting the most affected families.
CHANGED LIVES

Five young people with a Muslim background tell how they found Jesus and what consequences this decision had for them. Djameel reports: «I now belong to Jesus, but it was very difficult. My father didn't agree at all. He said that he would kill me if I didn't renounce my faith, because I have the name of a great Muslim. When the situation came to a head, I fled to the pastor here and he helped me.»

TOMORROW'S GENERATION
The school center in Katibougou, from kindergarten to high school, is known as one of the best in the region. The associated agricultural area with fish, chickens, fruits and vegetables contributes to the financing of the school and also serves as a training center for children and young people in the field of agriculture for self-sufficiency.
