»The drilling of three wells caused quite a stir throughout the region. After 35 years, the people there now have access to clean drinking water. They will never be thirsty again!«

TWO FAILED HARVESTS

Hunger is taking on dramatic proportions. ACP has temporarily secured the survival of around 8,000 people with food. Among them is Fatima, who is pregnant and suffering from anemia due to malnutrition. Chirgin, a widower too old to work in the fields, has no choice but to starve. There is no seed left in the whole country. Around 1,000 farmers are supplied with seed. Assuming stability and a good rainy season, this will help people to become self-sufficient.

Education under the thatch
Our school in the Nuba Mountains is making a second attempt. The drought had caused people to migrate and led to the closure of our school. Thanks to the building of a well we organized, Aredeb Primary School was able to resume operations in 2021 - with more than 600 children.
Rock of Hope
Our secondary school “Rock of Hope” aims to equip young people of senior school age for life and create prospects. ACP currently teaches more than 350 girls and boys on site. With the help of a solar panel system and satellite internet, it should be possible in future to support and train the most talented among them and teachers with the help of international lecturers.
»The education program is changing lives in the Nuba Mountains. The children are learning about Jesus through our schools! And some of our secondary school graduates are now teaching in our elementary school. They are giving back to the community while they wait for college scholarships! We are tasting the fruits of our labor.«
